Powerbar Man

Powerbar Man

Temporary cover of the book In the year 2000, I ran a Marathon. My first and last Marathon I ran to this date. The New York City Marathon. I am Brazilian, and the temperature varies little in my region, when compared to the temperatures in the USA. Specially if compared to the New York City weather.

By the time of the start of that NYC Marathon, the weather was quite harsh on me. I felt so cold I had my regular running garments, a sweatshirt and sweatpants over it, a nice scarf, a wool cap and ski gloves. That was quite fine for the weather, but some light rain began to fall and the wind was strong. Talk about wind chill factor!

I decided to cut off head and arm holes in this huge bag of Powerbar that I had gotten. Then, I wore it to start running. What came out of it, is what you will read in this book…

Thanks for your visit. I hope I can offer you new publications soon,
